Saks Fifth Avenue Installation
In the bustling world of luxury retail, every minute counts. We faced a unique challenge at the new Men’s department on the 6th floor of Saks Fifth Ave Flagship – getting 12-foot tables and glass displays to the 6th floor when they wouldn’t fit in the freight elevator. Hoisting them up 6 flights of stairs, our team at Ground Force got the job done (without an elevator!) As dawn approached, the final piece of the puzzle fell into place, adorning the Men’s department at Saks Fifth Avenue with its new additions, ready to welcome customers the very next day.
Watches of Switzerland Soho Renovation
As Watches of Switzerland’s Soho store in Manhattan underwent renovation, Ground Force Logistics was entrusted with the crucial task of safeguarding and relocating the furniture and delicate glass watch displays to facilitate the construction process. With brands like Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Omega, and Tudor in the mix, each piece had to be handled with the utmost care to maintain its pristine condition. Our experienced team meticulously packed and transported each item, ensuring its safety throughout the process.
Now, as the renovation nears completion, we eagerly anticipate returning the cases to their designated spots and witnessing the transformation of the space into a stunning showcase for luxury timepieces.
Dover Street Market De-Installation
Our expertise and attention to detail shine when it comes to unique projects like the Dover Street Market De-Installation. We meticulously transformed the space, from de-installation to preparing it for the landlord.
We began by dismantling the metal curtain wall with precision, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the process. Every item, from displays to fixtures, received a “white glove” treatment, emphasizing careful handling and responsible waste disposal.
After the move-out, we meticulously spackled, painted, and prepared the space for its next chapter, highlighting our commitment to quality and comprehensive solutions.
Onitsuka Tiger Deinstallation
When Asics brand Onitsuka Tiger decided to move out of their space on Mercer in NYC, they turned to Ground Force for assistance. Our team quickly got to work, carefully disassembling the red archways, moving all fixtures, and shelving out of the space. Using specialized equipment, we safely removed the vinyl and exterior signage with a bucket truck, ensuring that the space was left clean and ready for the next tenant.
Balenciaga Fashion Show Retail Planning
Luxury retailer Balenciaga hosted its 2022 spring fashion show on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange, and the Ground Force Logistics team was onsite to help make it happen. For this project, our team was first involved with a few days of planning and an onsite meeting to ensure all the needs of the job were clearly laid out with a solid plan of action.
We were responsible for picking up and delivering three of Balenciaga’s display tables we previously removed from two of their Canadian stores and stored until they were needed for the fashion show. Due to the small size of the freight elevator and the large size of the display tables (one of which had a glass top), our team took extra care to move the display tables vertically on their sides so they’d fit.
The display tables were used to display jewelry, leather bags, and accessories for Balenciaga’s Spring 2023 collection in the fashion show.
